For you as a mother

• Comfortable clothing (nursing bras, nightdresses, loose-fitting tops)
  Choose tops and trousers that are comfortable and make breastfeeding easier. Soft cotton works particularly well.
• Warm socks and slippers
  Essential, especially in cooler hospital environments. It is advisable to pack an extra pair.
• Toiletries bag with essentials
  Toothbrush, hairbrush, deodorant (preferably natural), and lip balm. Small items can make a significant difference.
• Mobile phone and charger
  Useful for photos, notes, music, or relaxation playlists.
• Snacks and a water bottle
  You will need energy for the birth and the first few hours afterwards.
• Postnatal pads, mesh knickers, intimate wash, nipple cream
  Useful essentials for the first few days after the birth.
• Important documents
  Maternity notes, insurance card, and birth plan should be kept easily accessible.

For the birth

• Loose-fitting T-shirt or nightdress and socks
  Choose something comfortable that you do not mind getting dirty.
